LOS ANGELES — Anjalts announces the worldwide release of her new single, “Take Another Look,” arriving September 4, 2026 via IXO Music. The track is the sixth single from her forthcoming fourth album, due in late autumn 2026.

Written, produced, and performed entirely by Anjalts, “Take Another Look” begins in a moment of spontaneous creation: an improvised piano passage recorded during a late-night studio session. A blend of jazz and neo-soul expression, the piano opens into an intimate space before gradually settling into a restrained but weighty pulse of bass and percussions scatted along the entire mix.

The result is an atmospheric hip-pop and neo-soul ballad built less around spectacle than tension. Anjalts sings close and emotionally exposed as the production expands around it — shadowy, spacious, and cinematic, with a rhythmic undercurrent that never overwhelms the song’s central question: what happens when we recognize a truth we would rather not face?

This song, and the direction of her new album, speaks volumes about our current times.”

At the center of “Take Another Look” is an urgent, repeated reminder: “There’s something real inside us.” The lyric moves through the uncertainty — “I wish, I didn’t wanna know / Why, I didn’t wanna go / And, I didn’t wanna see / What I already know” — then returns to the chorus as both confession and challenge.

While the song can be heard as an intimate relationship ballad, its language reaches beyond romance. “Take Another Look” considers the difficulty of genuine connection in a time of overload, isolation, and mounting complications. Its repeated insistence on something “real” suggests that beneath denial, distraction, and social noise, people still carry an inner truth waiting to be acknowledged.

The song’s refrain does not offer an easy resolution. Instead, it asks listeners to pause, look again, and sit with what becomes visible. The lyrical contrast between wanting to let someone in and feeling that “there’s nobody in knowing” gives the track its emotional weight: closeness is desired, yet, the truth can sometimes make the experience frightening.
