Why a publisher, not just a label

A label puts records out. A publisher looks after the songs themselves — the compositions, the splits, the registrations, the licences — long after a release week is over. Anjalts writes, produces and performs everything, which means the recording and the composition begin in the same room, on the same night. Someone still has to make sure the ISWC is filed, the ISRC travels with the master, the PRO knows who to pay, and a music supervisor who hears a song in a trailer can clear it with one email instead of three.
